Blogging
I've been on a number of blogs, mostly cooking blogs, but I think there are many valuable blogs out there. I think if someone has something that is valuable to them to share, there are many people that might be interested in the same topic and they can join together in a cause or share ideas on a hobby.

Being a leader
I've been reading about being a leader and here are a few things I have learned. It's important to be part of the solution and not halt progress. I've also learned that you must lead by example by trying new things and reviewing what has worked and what has not. It's also important to keep learning and keep an open mind and listen to other's suggestions and share your knowledge as you learn. Ultimately, whether we retire in 30 years or in 2, it's important to keep trying and improving our schools.
Introduction
Hi,
My name is Teresa Lehmer. I'm a Loudoun County Public Schools Teacher. I'm a career switcher and went from a computer technician position to teaching Family and Consumer Science. I then transitioned to a Family Life Teacher. I'm currently enrolled in George Mason University's ITS Masters Program. I'm learning a lot and hope to share some of what I have learned here in my blog. Looking forward to blogging with you!
